Wasco County Democrats will again have a booth on the beautiful shady lawn. We'll have a big Obama sign to display this year, plus bumper stickers, buttons, and laid-back discussions. (Nothing is in a hurry at Wasco County Fair.)
The fair is in Tygh Valley, about 30 miles south of The Dalles. Load up the family and come out for a day. Thursday is Family Day, and there is no admission charge. There are lots of activities for everyone: carnival, 4-H and FFA exhibits, rodeo, demolition derby, music, dancing. Pick up a fair book at The Dalles Area Chamber of Commerce for details.
