Wasco Dems Monthly Meeting - New Location
Start: 7:00 pm
End: 8:30 pm

This month we will meet at Democratic Headquarters instead of the library. 

We are at 508 1/2 Washington Street in The Dalles. Our office is in the basement of the big old house across Washington Street from the county courthouse. "Top Dog Grooming" has a neon sign in the window facing the street.

Enter from the alley - look for the American flag over the doorway. There are two steps down.

Parking in the alley spaces and behind the building should be OK in the evening hours.

Canvassing Day
Start: 10:00 am
End: 2:00 pm

Why are we canvassing so early? Because there are a lot of voters to talk to, before we can elect a bunch of Democrats in November!

Mike Ahern, Democratic Candidate for Oregon House of Representatives, will be canvassing in The Dalles today. Join Mike and other volunteers to talk to voters in the neighborhoods of The Dalles. We will be asking "voter ID" questions -- to identify how folks think they will vote in November, and help build Mike Ahern's name familiarity among the voters.

A couple hours of your time will really help. This is low-stress canvassing, talking to Democrats and non-affiliated voters. Mary E. came back after an hour and a half last Saturday and said, "That was fun!"

Precinct Committee Persons Meeting
Start: 7:00 pm
End: 8:30 pm

A get-acquainted meeting just for newly-elected Precinct Committee Persons (and anyone who wants to be appointed as a PCP). We have just five more months until the November 4 election! Come meet the other Wasco County PCPs, share ideas about how each of you can fit campaign activities into your lives, and find out more about other active Democrats in your precinct.

Your energy and ideas will help elect a Democratic president, and more!

Informal social hour 5:30 to 6:30. Starting at 6:30 Rep. Hunt and Mr. Ahern will speak to the audience, followed by question/discussion time.
